Complex choices are a staple of living a life worthy of the time to tell one's story. R.A. Salvatore has created a world filled with these choices and the effects they have on the people around us. I was struck by the social injustice of society`s. Salvatore shined the light of a full moon on the trap of living without recognizing the people and their worth as people. He showed the cost of change and the courage mixed with fear that it takes to overcome injustice. All while power seekers do battle and witches toss magic to keep things the same.

I LOVED this book! Not typically the type of story I would gravitate towards, I read this as a read for my book club. What an AMAZING story! Katherine Arden's debut novel lends towards the feel of The Chronicles of Narnia, but darker, and I am already anxiously awaiting the sequel! From the very first page, I was enchanted and immersed into the vivid and detailed setting and its characters. Lots of twists and turns keep the reader turning pages until the very end, where I was left to feel sad that the end was there. This is one that I will be recommending and giving copies of to anyone that wants to get lost in a fabulous read!! BRAVO, Ms. Arden!!!

“When” is destined to become required reading for all college students regardless of major. Daniel H. Pink shines the stage lights on Perfect timing, bringing it out of the shadows of mystic good ol’ fashioned luck and showcasing it as a learnable, teachable and accomplishable part of the show of life. This may have been the first time I read about studies and laughed. Mr. Pink’s humor and chapter summations kept me going at just the right time.
